Spent most of day hiking southern slopes looking for sheds. No luck. I was just about back on top when I looked down and saw this antler handle hunting knife. Looks like it's been there awhile as the rodents ate up some of the sheath and part of antler handle. What are the odds of finding this ?

We found a Knifes of Alaska caper this year while archery hunting, real nice...

Wow. A "shed knife". Never seen one of those, but I think I have shed a couple. I think they usually drop in September or October on adult males. Younger specimens can shed at any time of the year though...
