Short review: Silencerco Harvester 300
« on: November 24, 2019, 11:51:26 AM »
Quick and dirty....love it, totally worth it.

Multi caliber can, threaded inserts for various threads and takes from 22 up to 300 win mag. Not rated for a lot of shooting in a short time.  Cost 2as about 600 plus tax stamp. Waited 10 months. Goes on super easy and reduces noise to the point you can shoot without ears easily in the field.  I've only shot it on my 25 06 and my 6.5 creed. On the 6.5 my poi didn't shift. I assumed it would....kimber ascent, lightweight and not a heavy pipe.

Couldn't agree more.  Mine is as quiet as my Specwar and light enough that I actually want to hunt with it.  Here it is on a Remington model Seven in .308 with Vortex Razor 1.5-8x32  the whole thing is 43.25" with can and does not feel front heavy at all.

SilencerCo has great customer service too.  Misplaced a baffle on my Octane .45 and they sent one free no questions asked.   Had a baffle strike with the Specwar and they have been very accommodative.

I just got my harvester 300 2 months ago. Was 9 months to the day. I am very happy with it. Poi changes by an inch at 100 with my 300 win mag. I need to get a cover for it. I put 4 rounds through it with Berger’s 215 ammo and the heat waves wear pretty bad. Can wait to get my 308 threaded and start shoot my subsonic loads out of it.

Nice.

I "need" one that covers .30 cal to .450 -  Haven't found the right unit yet.

Silencerco Hybrid will cover that range

Nice! Can't wait to get my hands on it. The guy's at west coast armory say the wait is 3-9 months right now. I'm hoping for 3 😂.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a cover?  Mirage is an issue after just a few shots.

Hey Grundy, if you are in town and want to try out the harvester suppressor, hit me up. We can run out and puts some Roy da down range.

I'm going with a Cole-Tac on a recommendation from a buddy.

H20, did you buy local or go the online route? Was it a "One-stop" shopping experience or did you have to do most of the leg work yourself? I'm interested....just a little confused on where to start.... :dunno:

Aye. I have a local ffl, think backyard shop. He is eith Gun Nation....kinda like a franchisee.  He can order in guns, cans, etc. I went in, paid, it was ordered,  we did all the paperwork and he sends it in and the can goes into the safe. I was his first can and it went fine. Got my print cards at local pd, photos at Walmart.  Took 10 months and i got cleared, he called,  i went and picket it up. For casual shooters and hunters I'd suggest this can anytime.

So it shifts the point of impact on your 25-06 I assume?  Is the shift Of POI consistent when you take it off and put it back on each time or does it vary?   I got the hybrid a while back but have only shot it a few times on a 300 blk and haven’t found a subsonic round so far that is consistent each time I put it on.
