« on: November 22, 2019, 07:42:26 AM »
How much more accuracy will i really notice upgrading from a ghost ring and front blade to a williams peep and front globe? Worth the money?

Not sure upgrading the Ghost Ring will help much.  I put this on my Knight Disc a couple years ago and love it!

I went with the cross hair and its way better than then fiber optics that come stock.  I feel like I can aim much more precise especially at longer distance like 100 yds.

Another article by the same guy where he adds the sliding rear peep for farther shots.  Sabbot Loader and several others on here have shared a similar set up.  I do believe the front globe sight makes a world of difference though for accuracy.

I wonder about them globe front sights and if a stick will knock the center out of it. Then what do you do? I may have to try one and see for myself how it survives.
I have several sets of spare fiber optic sights. They seem to break fairly often when beating brush hunting elk. But you can still shoot without the fibers.

The big upgrade I make is to swap the colors. The guns tend to ship with green rear and red front. For me the green is much brighter and washes out the image when its close to your eye. Changing it so its red in the rear and green in the front is a very big help.
I also sight my rifle in so the impact point is right at the top of the front sight instead of having to cover the target with the front sight I just cover the bottom half of the target.

I’ve run that system for several years. Never had any problems and you can play with combos tells you get inserts that work best for you. I am using a circle and the fine wire. Like howlow said only downfall is low light or dark target like a black bear.
Some guys paint them with glow paint to help fix this issue.
