A lot of people think they know which unit it is but they’re likely wrong.
Some of us like idahohuntr and myself really do know. I personally choose not to reveal hunting units and areas publicly, PM's are different. I am not saying the OP wanted an answer in the public forum but it really can and does hurt hunting and fishing areas.

I agree with you and also would not reveal areas but I still think a lot of guys that think they know the hunt may be wrong. There’s a lot of bs that gets spread around.

I have it narrowed to two units, I'm 90% sure it is one of those.

I think I know the unit you guys are talking about and that's one of the two.

If you are going to try and figure out where he hunts by asking on a forum, you are shooting yourself in the foot.  If had already figured it out, would you post a thread titled " Hey guys, this is where Randy Newberg hunted in that video"?  No.  Just do some detective work and I bet you get a good idea where, then keep it to yourself

It wouldn't take much of a search to figure out what unit it is.  It was talked about ALOT last year on some other forums.  And the points to draw jumped for it this year.

I find it grossly offensive when people ask me if sitka gear is worth buying when I have spent thousand of dollars of my hard earned money buying and field testing.  If you want to know....just buy your own!!!!

Sorry man....I know nothing about Wyoming Elk otherwise I would offer a better post.  With that said, I think your question was legit and find it hilarious that people are so secretive of spots they "MAY" only hunt a couple times in their lifetime.    :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  There is great humor in that!!  Forget about the fact we are hunters on a hunting forum supposedly helping other like minded people out.    :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Which suggests that other high quality units will have fewer applicants...

For many years I subscribed to the Huntin' Fool. It was an invaluable resource to indicate which units not to apply for. :twocents:

It's all moot, if you didn't have enough points to draw it this year you never will.

Do you post where you apply to hunt?
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

You hit that right on.

Really ridiculous re-actions to a simple question about a tv show maybe thousands saw.
And posted on line somewhere.
I mean I can see somebody wanting to protect their spot in the state they live. But in a special draw unit of another state. My gosh if you are that paranoid you need to get off the internet. Do you guys circle back to see if anyone is following you when you go hunting. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I have no problem helping with hunting, I just don't like to see units and areas or rivers posted publicly. Its my opinion, it doesn't mean that you cant publicly post your hunting areas and GPS coordinates.

Entiat Archery....drew with 7 points and shot a great big spike.  It taste delicious and I will likely draw again in the next 5-10 years.  Saw lots of big bucks....I think I blew 8 or 9 stocks on reallllly nice bucks.  I passed on 3-4 smaller 3 points before deciding to take a meat buck on my last day.  If you draw this tag next year, I will gladly help you out.  30 people a year draw this tag and only a handful of the 30 put an arrow in the big boys.  Why wouldn't someone help another hunter out.

Now....am I going to give away my general season honey holes......No Tell'm Mountain.

For the naysayers.......get over your egos.  I won't tell what I know......oh wait, I don't know anything because I too have not drawn the tag.  I have only done internet research which makes me better than the rest.  I may never draw but if you do get lucky....your on your own.  MAKES PERFECT SENSE..... :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
