Truck frame repair
« on: December 03, 2019, 06:03:03 PM »
Just starting to explore options. Long story short I had my little project truck up on the rack and happened to notice a section of the frame looked funny. Upon further inspection found this section to be soft and rusted out. Anyone on here do that kind of work? Or know someone that does? I have a parts truck but that frame is even worse. Thanks in advance

Did you try to ask Airport welding in Snohomish? If they can't do,it they might know someone who can

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

have you looked into an aftermarket frame? depending on what your plans are and your budget you can buy prefabbed (or i think some even make "kits" you weld together) box frames, and start fresh with a solid foundation that far exceeds what it came with.....

I thought some of the Tundras had a recall for this.

According  to the guys who sold him the kit, it is a common problem on tundras. Heck they sell kits to fix it. im trying to find out how much it was. if i recall correctly it was not that expensive and easy to do yourself.
