I really dont believe we will ever get a wolf season, but man if we did i would put everything else on hold...  deer hunting, bear hunting, whatever... take time off work and try my dsmndest to be the first to legally kill a wolf here.  Then id make a facebook account and post up a nice grip and grin for these snowflakes.  Let the death threats roll in.  These pukes dont even know which end of a gun is the business end.

I've got some ideas....

People post wolf kills from idaho all the time im sure.  But posting the first "endangered" wolf kill from WA would cause a $*** storm.

What I meant was cutting our teeth in Idaho on wolves, then bringing that knowledge to WA when *if* its ever go time here.    I had some idea's I wanted to try in Idaho for archery wolf.

And folks wonder why wdfw tends to tip toe around the wolf issues?

Naw, the pro-wolfers and WDFW sleep in the same bed, WDFW like the USFWS have lied from the beginning about WA's wolves. Look at who the USFWS partnered up with in the illegal wolf introduction, and now look at who WDFW have been partnered up with for many years. That's right Defenders of Wildlife, CNW and other fake environmentalists.
Hunters would look a lot better on wolf issues if we could cut out the small minority of extremists who tout tinfoil hat garbage.

Did you read the article?     The extremists doing threats were all from the pro-wolf lefty side of the isle.....100%   and that was from WDFW themselves.

You seem to have a very loose definition of extremist, which is anyone who argues with you on HW   :chuckle:

This article should be a reminder to all of us: Anti-hunters, Pro-hunters...you will be judged by the public on your worst actors.

I don't consider it a major win that people from the hunting side or those who would like wolf management did not make reprehensible death threats against WDFW staff.  The bar must be higher than the bottom of the barrel of society.  I do think it suggests hunters, in general, are more reasonable people than anti-hunters and that is certainly the positive of this article.

However, there are still some extremist views on the pro-management side of wolves - and if we could stop their antics and disassociate them from hunters we would all look even better in the court of public opinion.

I don't consider people who I disagree with extremist.  You are an example...I disagree on any number of topics with you but I certainly don't consider you an extremist.  Others, who have a vast record of posting wild conspiracy theories, I would consider an extremist that if they are associated by outsiders with the hunting community, really makes us look bad.  If we continue to condemn and disassociate from these extremists it builds our collective reputation - an important thing to do on a topic so political as wolf management.

Well that's positive news, here I thought I was an extremist, you've certainly alluded to it enough times over the years..so you can't fault me for thinking I was.

I'll endeavor a bit harder to get there  ;)

Seriously though, I think you underplay this article.  The way this all went down everyone thought it was the anti wolf and ranchers that were making the threats, even here on HW.
I made numerous attempts to correct the misinformation being spread about people in Stevens CO, so this is validation of those efforts.

to wit:
no one would rough up anyone in Colville, it's a sham and a lie.

WDFW is labeling the entire east side of the state as enemies of the state to be feared, but it isn't true.

Can anyone point to anywhere or any circumstance where violence was threatened or acted upon?

I'm not happy with the way WDFW played this, allowing everyone to think it was us in NE Washington that got the meetings cancelled due to threats, when in fact it was the pro-wolf groups making threats.

Then WAcoyotehunter told everyone it was the Stevens CO militia that got the meetings cancelled...there's still not a shred of evidence they were going to attend, let alone threaten violence.

To be fair to you Idahohntr you condemned radicals on both sides of the isle, wishing to lock them up in a shipping container.

Lay low. Keep mouths shut. Don’t make a scene. Make the other side look like the whacko crowd. This scenario is a great example.

I'm just proud of the so called "anti-wolfers",  not. one. single. threat. has come from that side,

if there was a single threat from the "anti-wolf" side, you bet it would have been made a big deal of!

:yeah:

I just started reading about this this weekend.
