Goose hunting video
« on: December 09, 2019, 02:31:08 PM »
I have been having to guide a bunch so I haven’t had a chance to get behind the camera and film other guys hunting as much. I got out Sunday and shot this. I was a little bummed I forgot one of my lens adapters and my sensor was dirty and no way to clean it. Still turned out alright.

That's one way to hide in the middle of a field.  Sweet.  Just curious why you let them land before opening the doors and shooting?  To each their own, one of my favorite things ever is folding up birds while their gliding down.  Anyhow, good work!

Seemed like there was a number of kids in the blind which might explain that. Nice video

A lot of it is that you can’t really see to call the shot. He probably saw them go over the top of him but then is just listening and guessing when to call the shot. Plus you have to make sure everyone is ready and has their kids unlocked.

On another level trying to pass shoot them out of a pit is another level of tough. I see video of guys in Colorado for example that have pretty open pits but ours are pretty closed up so it can tough to see. And if they are down birds will flare hard. So once you try to pass shoot they are already high tailing out of there.

One reason could be it’s extremely easy to hit a goose jumping off the ground.
