Thats a cool shot of an nice buck.  I wonder if he heard your camera.  Migrating deer are my favorites.  Something about them

Allot of the time the bucks and does definitely hear my cameras or see the flash at night. But they never react in a way that makes me think they are terrified. In fact, they appear to be more curious about it than horrified. I suspect that hard hunted whitetail or even mulies for that matter would react differently if closer to civilization. But I don't really know.

A coupla more: these are still photos along two different migration routes out of the GPW. One buck really knocked the hell outta that one antler. Can't believe it hasn't fallen to the ground. It's left eye seems gouged out as well. Interesting!

I know a guy, Keith, (Skyvalhunter) who does pretty damn well capturing monsters on his units in wilderness. Check out some of his big buck photos. Envious I am, impressive his cam photos are! :chuckle:
