The alumni of Lincoln county
« on: April 05, 2009, 03:29:21 PM »
Well the sun came up this monring and it gave me a great chance to get a picutre of my Lincoln county alumni. All of these deer were shot in Lincoln couty as far back as 1993. Two of them came from each of the far west and east ends of the county and the rest were from just northeast of Davenport. None of them are even close to record book deer. But just the same, it looks like I have a decent average. Only two of them score above 100". There are four of them that score just under a 100". High 90's. They are at least as good as something you might see on a hunting show. I have a five year streak going. Hoping to make it an even six next fall. The big three point on the left came from 12,500 acres of DNR land just south of Crestin on highway 2. The area is known as Swanson lake. Took him back in 1996. That area get hit real hard these days on the first weekend. It pushes most of the deer to private land after Sunday evening. As you can see, I don't waste much of any animal. Process all the meat and I have everything I shoot mounted. Not to take anything away from any other taxidermist on this site...These were all mounted by Aumen's Taxidermy in Enumclaw. I used to work with Steve and I am a repeat customer and he gives me decent deals. If anybody has any questions about any of the deer, please feel free to ask.   :)

I made a mistake...The big three point is on the right and not the left. He came from the Swanson lake area.

Finnman...That is a real decent buck for Swanson Lake. I know that area like my own back yard. There is also a chunk of DNR land south towards Coffee pot lake. Seen a few deer in there.
