Washington State needs more predators
« on: December 13, 2019, 07:41:51 AM »
I sure wish there were more mega predators in Washington.

I "FEEL" we just don't have enough. Yet.

It shouldn't  be too difficult to import some non-native exotic Bengal and Siberian tigers as well a few African hyenas and lion. Coupla approved SEPAs and NEPAs and Poof! Done. Just not enough opportunity here to hunt predators. Diminished ungulate populations just don't hold the appeal they used to for me.

Can't wait for those furry, cuddly, grizzly bears to make an appearance in the central and north Cascade range.

I miss the golden age of predator hunting!

FYI.. Grizzlies have been in the Central Cascades since the 90's. Many people have seen them and I'm talking hunters, including Alaskan guides.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Yeah, and then label em predators and put up bounties again? Haha anywho, what camera is that? Those pictures look great!
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen

Central Cascades or North Cascades? South of Hwy 2 would be Central to me...

Maybe someone can genetically engineer Burmese pythons to den and survive our winters.  I'd like to hunt giant snakes without having to go to Florida
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Lake Alaska, north of I-90 a few miles.

Those mountain rescue bears? They remind me of the St. Bernard mountain rescue dogs from cartoons as a kid. The ones that had whiskey in the barrels on their necks they gave the guy who was caught in the avalanche!  :chuckle: :chuckle:
