(1) No person in this state may manufacture, possess, distribute, import, transfer, sell, offer for sale, purchase, or otherwise23transfer any assault weapon or large capacity magazine except as authorized in this section.

Continued possession requires registration of "assault weapons."

Transport restrictions.
