I got a twin - Finally got to shoot

Well it was an inline day. I love these "Old" Winchester X-150 muzzleloaders. This one being a .50cal 1:28 twist, set up with #11 percussion cap ignition. I just bought the Williams firesight set up which uses a peep sight. Front sight is super easy to see, but for me, a little to bulky for precision open sight target shooting. Still handled them well, just have to get used to them! I used 90gr Alliant Black MZ, 245gr Powerbelt Aerotip, CCI #11 Magnum caps and a Spitfire nipple. Zero hang fires. #1 thing I love about inlines set up with #11 ignition? ZERO crud ring to swab out after each shot! I fired a total of 10 shots today without any difficultly in reloading. Each one went down as smooth as the first. Convert it to 209 primers and I'd have no choice but to swab between shots! Just goes to show you.. One ignition set up might supposedly less reliable... But the other has a huge trade off, and that is not being able to seat the next round due to the crud ring. Now to melt some lead ingots and start casting some real conicals for this bad boy!

Looks just like the X-150 I sold to a hunting buddy years ago. Wish I would of kept it.
