I'm wondering how they believe that "Invasive Species" is a management tool?!

I wish they provided more information on the Sage Grouse management plan that was too restrictive.  I agree they shouldn't list the sage grouse, and many various key stakeholders are working together on the issues.  I've always believed that what's good for the bird is good for the herd.

I wrote a letter to CBD to see what contributions done in Wa state were used for. The lady replied back for enhancement of wolves, bears, and cougars. No surprise there, just doing there part to end hunting state by state. The best we could hope for is to end a groups financial gain like their lawyer fee reimbursement. Not right a group like these should have over 100 lawyers on payroll.

If you read enough you will see the anti hunting groups push reintroduction as a way to stop hunting, we see the decline of northeast and cental washington deer, I hunt north central washington and the decline has been unmistakable, the anti hunting groups hope we will give up and in one or two generations the deer elk,etc will be gone. As I stated on another post, in Yellowstone they introduced 74 wolves in 1995, in five years they went to 175, the elk went from 19,000 to 11,000, the moose went from 4000 to 2000. that was just 5 years, now nearly 20 years later,,,the problem is the management of wolves is supposed to go the the states when the numbers are reached, but the anti groups tie up everything about delisting them in the courts. Kinda like our state.
I posted this so people, us the hunters, would look and get as much info as we can, our hunting traditions are going away.

This group strongly supported the legislation that resulted in congress delisting wolves in the Rocky Mountains (ID, MT, WY, Eastern WA). Like all groups there are some people who don't like them for other reasons, but this group has been at the forefront of helping to get wolves delisted, they have the ear of certain members of congress, they need to show as broad of support for delisting as possible. They started in Utah and if you look at wolf recovery plans you will see that Utah has a much better plan than any other western state I know of, that is in large part due to work by this organization's leaders.

That's actually false, they opposed the Simpson-Tester delisting and in the end all major reputable sportsman organizations denounced them and their antics in a very strong way.  Once the delisting was official and survived legal challenges bgf then swooped in and tried to take credit and act as if they helped/supported...a very corrupt organization.  A couple of links for folks interested in reading the truth about bgf:

Went out and did 2 local calling sessions for bobcats this morning here in 121.  Fresh tracks from 3 wolves at the first spot i called, about a 3 mile drive from my house.  They werent there when i came off the mountain about 3pm on friday.  Damn near everywhere ive gone predator hunting since the snow hit ive found wolf tracks.  Seeing less deer and moose sign than ever before.

No     In the old days midnite coyote hunting,(not for the skiddish or meek) you'd call in a cougar.  You'd never see them just the fresh tracks standing behind you.   If that wasnt sketch enough, now you have wolves.

I remember signing petitions on this forum by Big game Forever to support wolf delisting and other worthwhile issues. I know for a fact that Big game Forever was actively promoting the delisting of wolves for many years, I've had phone calls with the leaders of BGF regarding wolf issues and meetings with legislators. How many times has BHA promoted petitions to garner support for wolf delisting? I am not telling anyone to send your money anywhere, or to end your membership with any other organization, but you might want to at least sign a petition supporting the Trump Administration in delisting wolves, that seems like a no-brainer to me? You can do that right now with BGF! It doesn't cost a cent to support delisting wolves in all 48 states!

Honestly I can't address the dispute that Big Game forever said the wrong thing once a few years ago, I really don't know what happened, nor do i care at this point, if they did say the wrong thing hopefully they learned from that mistake!

My main concern in this topic is getting wolves delisted, and it appears BGF is doing a lot more than BHA in that regard? If you don't want to support the Trump Admin to delist wolves through the handy BGF software that is your option!

No worries.  Bearpaw wants to drag this into a debate on BHA but I'm not going to entertain the distraction.  I simply wanted to point out where BGF failed on previous wolf de-listing efforts and so I would urge caution and encourage research before joining or sending them money if actual wolf de-listing is your goal.  That said,  I see no issue with using BGF's automated petition to send information to elected officials...its a convenient tool I suppose.
