Anything bigger?
« on: April 05, 2009, 10:25:20 PM »

Still trying to come up with some moose sheds this spring. Did come up with a couple of decent bucks though.

Wow that is sure some good finds! I love how different each buck shed is! This is the " first hunt of the year" . I hope they don't decide to make us by tags for it! :'(

Looks like you've got yourself a pretty good spot. Nice work, I'm jealous.

In the picture of them in the snow it almost looks like that old shed and the new one came off the same buck. The newer shed looks a little smaller. Same buck on the decline?

Cory....
Never really saw that 'till you pointed that out. Actually, if you could see the antlers up close they have completely different bases and the main beam characteristics are different.
That oldest shed looks a lot like another set that I had found...but not quite. I have a lovely brown single that I found that would score +- 102". A few years later I found the other side, from a couple years later. He's got some chews on him but that "matched" set is freakin' awesome!
I shot another buck that looks like a "mini me" version of him. Genetics man..... Pretty amazing stuff. I'll get some pics up here soon of my 200" whitey......

Nice
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
