Barnes 110 TTSX, 7mm-08
« on: January 02, 2020, 08:27:55 AM »
Anyone have any experience loading these? I'm playing with the idea of test driving a few in my 7mm-08. I'm happy with the performance of the 120's, just thought the 110's with the flat base would be a good option for inside 300 yards, which is where I do 99% of my shooting.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

I sold my 7mm-08 a couple years ago, but I have loaded the 110s in my .270 to around 3400fps. Being that they retain almost all their weight, I can’t see a downside if you want something flat shooting. They have been very accurate in every rifle I’ve used them in.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

That's my thought process. Small bullet but full weight retention. Smokin fast and flat shooting. Going to give them a run.

 :yeah: That's solid thinking!
I've had good results using the same concept when loading "light for caliber" TTSX bullets in other rifle calibers.

That’s the winning formula with Barnes...light for caliber and crank them as fast as accuracy allows.
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
