Correct me if I’m wrong but creating a sitting type position is a rather challenging task for a taxidermist, and then to get that face perfectly real, wow. Again, gorgeous mount.

The taxidermist Dremelled a mannequin from a photograph, then stretched the hide to fit???

Holy Cow, count me as deeply impressed.  That craftsmen really deserved his 600,000 pennies.

Congrats on a beautiful cat and a terrific mount.
Was that done by Charlie??  A former sponsor on this forum?...he had a knack for getting the face right on a cat.

Hard to imagine pulling a wet hide over that mold.
It never changes, but it is always different.

No it wasn’t Charlie. A couple years before the hunt, he was way up in the running. Then he disappeared before we could get in touch with him.

To be honest, I have no idea how he did what he did. I do know that all the claws were pulled because the feet stitch down better without them and any whisker that didn’t sit just right, it was pulled and put back in the correct spot. And yes, it was well worth it.

Outstanding.  I’ve already got my cat over to the taxi I chose in Montana but haven’t yet finalized my form.  I love everything about your cat.  Thanks for sharing.

Everyone, I knew that I had a real diamond but I really appreciate all the amazing feedback. It was a great hunt with one old and a couple new friends and at the end, it couldn’t have turned out any better. Now on to the next adventure.
