Liberty franklin 50 shelf question
« on: January 07, 2020, 07:34:36 PM »
I just recently purchased a liberty franklin 50 and tonight while putting a gun away I had a rifle rack break. Trying to figure out how to get a new one. Picture to show what I mean.

Did you buy it new? My dads liberty has those same particle board shelves and with some ammo on them they sagged real bad, I wish they used plywood instead

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

Yuck. $40? Really yuck.
A piece of 3/4” plywood, a jig saw, and a pencil, would make for a stronger piece. Of course you’d have to add the trimmings but, you wouldn’t have particle board any more.

Seems pretty crappy to save five bucks by not using plywood.

Not covered by warantee?
Too bad.

I bought a Liberty a couple years ago and noticed the particle board as well.   Not impressed.
I jigsawed a piece to better fit rifles.

Regardless if plywood or partical board, it's inside a gun safe for crying out loud........should have been able to use styrofoam  :twocents:
