Every-time I try My body automatically makes elk talk.

Crazy stupid but I had to quit as it was making me crazier.

:chuckle: one time I was driving to the turkey woods and practicing calls in the truck. I freaked out when I realized I forgot my bugle tube. Took me.another minute to realize how dumb I was and that I'd been practicing cow calls
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Going to be doing some daytime and nighttime calling this weekend near Walla Walla.  Using foxpro and infrared/digital night vision for night calling.  Will be hunting with a partner.

You using nightvision for your scope, or just night vision for scanning, with a kill light on a regular scope?

I've got a sightmark photon nv scope, and a nv kit with a camera and lcd screen that mounds onto a regular scope. Have infrared illuminators for both. Also have a couple flashlights and a red light.  Will experiment and see what works best. I usually hunt west side with a motion sensor on a bait pile within range of the backdoor of my house.  I'm fairly new to Calling them in open country. Will be focusing on Creek beds that come out of the hills and will be looking for cougar tracks too.
