Recommended Protein bar?

If a guy was asking for opinions on a muzzy, would everybody recommending bolt guns and shotguns be the thread "evolving?"  And im not stopping the thread from doing anything.  I cant censor anybody.  Just pointing out thst the op asked a specific question, and that question wasnt "what is your favorite backpack snack?"

Last I checked snacks dont have different seasons. Regardless the point is other people are pointing out good options similar to bars that could be helpful

It’s a good thread. I’m gleaning some good info from it. And for the record, all protein bars get a bit tedious after a while but like freeze dried meals, they serve a purpose. No, they’re not your everyday lunchbox snack. Why not try to find the best available, with the right composition to assist with your backwoods hunting endeavors?  I for one thank old BSkank for his researched input.

Rxbars. Pretty straight forward ingredients.

The ingredients are great in these, the flavors ive had arent my favorite, a little salty. But no doubt they pack a lot of energy in a small package.

In all seriousness the best protein I have gotten is to make jerky is from my roast. And dont even think about trying to get protein from a bar( unless you are a road hunter and put the proper miles on your vehicle. ) Go Hawks!!!

Jerky is cool, so is salami. All heavy/bulky. And they eventually mold. The bars are designed for a purpose, as are freeze dried meals. Oh, I’ll triple dog guarantee you BSkank does not road hunt.

Nah.  Im saying more sugar thsn protein isnt a protein bar.  Seems logical to me.  If you think im thst obnoxious, simply put me on your ignore board.  Its a lovely feature.

I cant do that. I love you too much. You are a great mentor and advocate. Think about it on both sides of the argument. A lot of the protein bars I have bought and consumed are pretty close to the same sugar content as protein.  Dont get me wrong both are the same.

Cosco's / Kirklands protien bars.  Cookies and Cream, Chocolate PB, and Cookie dough are the best.  The Chocolate chunk is....ok.

I really like these. I think they taste good.

My wife picked these up at Costco. They are really good. Tastes like a candy bar but only have 3 grams of sugar and 16 grams of protein.

Sounds like costco has several good options id like to try.  Heading to spokane on the 20th, maybe ill swing in for some backpack grub.
