Pepper's first geese
« on: January 12, 2020, 10:04:02 PM »
Pepper's duck hunting education went to a new level. We added 5 geese to the mix. 4 of which you can see are the big guy's, the other was a cackler. On the big birds she did what she was trained to do and went after the live one which was also the farthest one out, she latched onto it and would not let go.  She wasn't able to pick it up but drug it through the water back to the blind. Considering how young she is and the fact they weighed roughly almost a 1/3rd of what she weighs very understandable.  She weighs in at 46#'s right now.  She's doing well for a pup that's 1 year 2 months old.   Enjoy the pics. 1) posing with the days haul, she's keeping a close eye on the big boys. 2) roughly an hour after getting home almost passed out.
