Ever since I bought my first savage 99 a few years back I’ve been hooked on them. Probably do 90% of my hunting with either my .250 or .300 now. Had someone offer me a 99dl in .284 a while back and didn’t move on it., kind of kick myself over that one.

Once you get used to carrying one, it makes your average bolt action feel like a club. A 99 feels like an extension of your arm.

Left to right, a remlin .357, winchester .308, winchester .308, marlin .30-30, remlin .444

Have you noticed the grip sized change with the Remlins? They hung a fat pistol grip on the newer guns that gives a clumsy look and feel to the butt stock.

The .30 and the .375. Coyotes, javelina. Jackrabbits, deer and elk. Probably the handiest set of tools I own.

I loves them, I loves them all!  Now just imagine if you could use your .45 Colt cowboy lever-gun to take deer in a WDFW Firearm Restriction Area?  More elegant and more accurate than a 12ga shotgun with slugs...
