She made her own patterns based on what she able to find online.
Ran up some mock-ups in flannel to be sure it would work and figure out sizes.

They are beautiful!  Very warm, too.

I have a BONIS brothers sewing machine.  It sews with one thread.  Some times I have to pin the fur sides together and take the pins out when the needle is just an inch away,  but I'm slow sewing.  You'll learn to guide the sides together and push the fur downe.  I think my machine is almost as old as I am. We bought it used, but in good shape.  You buy the machine and you have to learn by yourself.  It is completely different from my Bernina (about 30 years old) for fabric.   Good Luck!

The mittens take two beaver per pair and leave plenty of scrap for other projects.
Beaver and goretex hat.
