You mad bro?
« on: January 22, 2020, 01:00:25 PM »
These pics are from back in the Polaroid camera days.
A buddy and I decided to pressure this bear in a meadow.
We wanted to see if there was any truth to the whole false charge thingy.

We learned a couple things.
1) When you get close enough......they will charge.
2) It's hard to take a clear Polaroid when they do.
3) I can run faster than my buddy.
4) This time, this bear, preferred to eat grass over human.
5) Attempting this again never made much sense.

Glad you lived to tell the tale.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

You won an Honorable Mention for the Darwin Awards. I did something similar a hundred years ago with a herd of bison with a huge bull  protecting their calves at Camp Pendleton.  Had movies but my ex trashed them.

If you attempted that again, you might be offered a high position in WDFW.

Haha hahahahaha one of my fave SP episodes.

Every one of you guys missed the salient point of this post.

Absolutely no mention of his "buddy."

You should listen to the WA Wolf/Grizzly re-introdution supporters.

Remember predators only take the weak (and slower than you) from the gene pool

Reference from 2Many's post "3) I can run faster than my buddy."

Easily one of my favorite posts on here. After multiple close interactions with bears while archery hunting (that turned tail and ran away as fast as possible) this is a good reminder that that will not always be the case. Beautiful bear too.
