I went last year, great event! Registration between 4-6pm on Friday is required prior to hunting. They use a ping pong ball (supplied at registration) method for tagging your kills. Weigh in is required by 5:30pm Saturday to be eligible for prizes.

It looks like it's gonna be mild and wet for the contest. Gonna be some muddy back roads. Windy in some areas too. Hopefully we still get some dogs to come out and play.

I heard the winners had 10 and then I heard that 12 won it.  Looking forward to finding out for certain, as that's a lot of dogs either way!

There were not as many dogs taken as last year but there were substantially more hunters. Some great prizes too. Total count last year was 75 dogs by 90 hunters, this year was 60 dogs by 130 hunters. We got skunked but found out that the cattle ranch surrounding my area has been getting pounded by a local hunter. The day of the hunt, the ranch manager told me the hunter had shot 13 in the first 3 weeks of Jan. Needless to say, we only spotted 1 dog before midnight and nothing the next day. :dunno:
All in all, it was a fun hunt that was well organized.
