Yup - easy button, and for sure eliminates any possibility of meta data revealing Geo-location tags, should you forget to turn that off. 

We did do an exercise here on HW and found that images uploaded to HW do not contain geo tags anyways, or at least we weren't smart enough to get it to work 

   

The screen shot and just send doesn’t work for me either. I have to e-mail it to myself to resize and then save and post. I agree with trophy hunt it’s gotten more difficult. I don’t think you are right on the location on this site. I remember a thread on a bull in Dayton and A guy pulled the location off and then posted his exact locations on a map? I think the outcome was he got busted for trespassing

Yep, as bearpaw explained, things have definitely changed, but not on the forum side.  Phones changed.  But your phone’s technology is 4-5 years old.

And yes, I 100% guarantee you that geotagged locations are retrievable through photos posted here if they’re attached to the photos. Best bet is to just turn off the location services or whatever your phone calls it. All sorts of other reasons that should be turned off on your phone anyway, besides keeping your honey holes a secret.

I guess I'm over thinking it. I have all my pictures hosted on a third party site (imgur) and then embed them into the posts here. I just resized them to whatever I want on the host site and save the image.

Tapatalk does all that for you. That’s what I’ve been trying to say. It’s it’s own hosting and resizing site and it’s about 100 times easier to navigate the forum on a phone if you ask me. So you don’t even have to leave the app to do your photo hosting or the resizing.

Tapatalk does have a few issues though,  some issues with iPhone and some other issues with Android, but for 99% of what most people do on HW its great, and super easy to post pics.

The only issue I’ve found aside from limitations for mods is the search function being totally inoperative. But I also think that that’s a forum thing. The TT search works fine on Rokslide and waguns.
