I think rugers actually says like 60-70 or something like that but I've been using 55 and it's worked well

The lighter trigger spring might get some of the horizontal out of that middle target.

it definitely has in all the ones I've messed with. I think a bit of the horizontal is the side to side slop in those factory triggers.  Triggertech needs to see the untapped market for triggers that cost as much as the rifle

I put a timney in mine after having bad spring luck with another gun.

Mine shoots really well. Unfortunately I am really frustrated with the magazine. It makes me hesitate to actually hunt with it anymore. I wish they had an aftermarket bottom metal upgrade that you didn't have to send the stock in to have it installed.

Feeding issues. I have the older predator with the rotary magazine. Doing research on how to fix it I found it's a common problem. I found a "fix" for it where you open up the magazine and tighten the spring. But when I opened mine up it was a different style for some reason. I  would gamble and try another magazine but don't know how many $40 magazines I would need to go through to find a good one. Now ruger is going to AI magazine's but don't sell just the bottom metal.

Cartridge not coming up or is the tip jamming into the front of the mag? The latter has been my only mag issues but I just dremel a bit out of the front and it solves the issue.

I heard Ruger has acknowledged the problem and will send you an upgrade for free.

It's coming up. But it comes up at a weird angle and doesn't hit the feed ramp right. So it misses the hole and jams into the corner of the action.

buddies 6 creedmoor did that with the ai mags

Sent the whole gun back to ruger and they said it was fine. Got it back and it was still doing it. We ended up "shimming" the mag well and it changed how the mag sat in the gun. No more issues

On The Range

I had about 500 yards to play with, and a series of 5” plates hanging at the base of the berm. I had about 30 rounds of Hornady left, so I decided to get the barrel hot and see if would retain its accuracy. At 300 yards, I began whacking plates. I manipulated the bolt and transitioning to another plate.   About 20 rounds later, the gun still couldn’t miss, so I backed up to 500 yards and got the same results with my last 10 rounds.

A few days later I taught a long range hunting class and let eight different shooters put rounds through the Predator at 400 yards. Everyone remarked how light and how soft shooting the rifle was. Some of the shooters had some very expensive rifles and scopes at the class. One such student remarked that he paid a couple thousand dollars to get his rifle to be able to do what the Predator was doing out of the box.
