MDT makes a chassis for them. 1.4lb. B&C makes a good stock though. It would be a solid improvement. I dropped mine in a magpul hunter to add some weight and to have the flexibility to change LOP for when the kids come shoot.

I think you have me talked into the MDT. How heavy is the magpul stock? I didn't really consider it because it looks heavy. Do you pack it around or is it a target/truck  gun? I don't know why I'm so worried about the weight of my deer rifles, my brush gun for elk is a Remington 700 Sendero. 🤣

Keep in mind that the listed weight for the mdt is without a buttstock or pistol grip. By the time you add those it can get expensive and pretty heavy. That lss fore end is very short also

Another option is oryx chassis. It’s $400 all in and comes complete.

Yeah, I was taking that into account. But there are some light weight AR butt stocks. I wouldn't get one of those fancy ultra adjustable ones. Thanks for the tip, I'll check out the Oryx.

I would run the Hornady 143 eld through it.

It will like them.

I get bored easy and like to tinker. Snagged a box of 156gr bergers the other day just to satisfy my curiosity on what kind of speeds I could achieve. Been jumping in .5gr increments and still haven't found pressure with a very full case of N565. This RAP barrel has always seemed very slow as well. I think north of 2700 would be very easy in a better barrel and I still think I'll get there with this rig. Accuracy looked promising as well.

That’s been on my to do list for the Tikka as well but I don’t think I’ll get to it this spring

I honestly haven't pulled any measurements off of it yet. I didnt mess with my dies at all and just seated them like I would my 140's. They are right at mag length in the magpul magazines. I'll get some numbers tonight when I get home. Norma brass with fed210 match

yep no problem. I'm pumped to get my tikka back and mess with these some more in a rig that is better suited for these long suckers
