New Hunter looking for mentor
« on: March 08, 2020, 10:29:05 AM »
Hey all, I’m a new hunter looking for someone or a group to learn from. I’ve lived in WA my whole life and I’ve been on several day hunts but never had an opportunity to shoot at anything. I did hunt upland birds when I was younger but that’s it. I’ve been really wanting to get out for deer that last four years but every year around deer season I’ve had too much going on to get out and go, but this year I’ve got a lot more time and I really want to get out. I wanted to put in for spring bear but I didn’t realize I had missed the deadline. Would love to find someone relatively near me (bellingham) that has a spring bear tag and wouldn’t mind someone tagging along to learn something (and help pack some meat out). I live in Bellingham but my family has had a place in Ellensburg for years, and I’d love to go find a mule buck this year, but I’ve never shot any big game and have a lot to learn first. So finding a hunter buddy or group who wouldn’t mind teaching a new hunter some things would be awesome.  Thanks
