Wolf kills dog and keeps lady pinned in her house
« on: February 20, 2020, 12:04:39 PM »
I'm not sure if this FB video will work here, but this lady is telling her story of how a wolf came out of the brush and killed her dog right next to her and now long it took the game dept. to get there mean while the wolves kept her pinned in her house. This was on Wonch rd. South West of Colville at Monumental Mt.

I think it was 2 nights before this happened, i had that pack howling very close by, just on the other side of my neighbors house.  They were going off for at least an hour, so i was thinking maybe they had a kill or would be sticking around all night for some reason.  So 1030pm i decided to call and wake up my 65 year old neighbor, because she gets up well before the sun, like 3 or 4am every day, and lets her dog out.  Figured it would be better to wake her up and warn her than risk the dog getting killed in the morning.

Instead of waiting for wdfw, did she not have a neighbor she could have called?  Could have got there sooner.

I am good friends with her cousins husband who lives near by......snow prevented anyone from getting to her property as no provisions for plowing her in and out have been made.  Sometimes being proactive about things can make certain situations less critical and easier to remedy.   This is one instance (IMHO) where its not everyone elses fault that it went down like it did.   :twocents: :twocents: :dunno:

The same thing is happening in the Methow, I had a lady call me up a few nights ago, she said they had a bunch of wolves all around her house, howling and barking, she figured they were after her dogs, which they had in the house.

WDF$W's response to the lady sound typical to the one they had of the girl up the tree.

Public tide has turned against wolves, and those who promote and protect them..

When a wolf kills a pet dog or cat all they are not doing it for food they are doing it for territory. All the wolf sees is competition for food. The more of this kind of stuff that happens the better. The bigger the preditor "problem" looks the more likely they will give wdfg the ability to manage the preditor "problem" .

people in these areas where populations are increasing will need to protect themselves period. within their rights and the laws... that simple, certainly cant rely on any LEO for support in ANY capacity toward wolf encounters.

It's been all over local radio news but I don't see anything online,

Here's another interesting local story that's on Spokane news:
https://www.khq.com/news/idaho_news/colville-woman-shares-concerns-over-stevens-county-wolf-sightings/article_7ffe3608-153e-11e9-b3d3-d32b025d93b8.html

FYI: I know several local people in this exact situation. One of them has been stalked by wolves while hiking! She no longer hikes without a gun!

The Willow thing has been interesting.  The gal is a super mega uber animal loving hippy from her FB feed

now she wants the wolves dead. dead. dead.          She's been "woke"

but she goes on!

She "stole" the alpha males "meal"  (her pet dog) so now that alpha HAS to respond, in her mind alphas cannot let anything or anyone steal a meal from them or they loose their alpha status see?   So that wolf has a personal vendetta against her, and is biding his time to catch her in the open so he can kill her and reclaim his status.

So she lives in debilitating fear, and the wolves keep howling outside her window driving that fear home.

What's fascinating to me is how this is like some tale from 200 years ago and we can see how this spirituality can be attributed to wolves.

Me, I'd go hunting.

They'll do nothing until a woman or child is killed. Then they'll call it a freak occurrence because wolves don't normally attack people, right? What we're experiencing is the true nature of wolves. The less they fear humans, the closer they get. They'll attack livestock, pets, eat garbage, and finally, will end up dining on little Davie or Aunt Margie. And the animal freakos in Seattle will maintain it's the victims' fault for living where the wolves live. I wouldn't poach but I can tell you this. If I lived up there and my family were in danger, I'd be killing wolves around my house. This has really been a major FUBAR.

At this point no one is paying any attention to the lying pro-wolf crowd, whether it's WDFW, the USFWS or? The promise of delisting and wolf control was/is a fraud. Even if they delisted today and had open season WA would not be able to change the outcome. Local communities are working on wolf control of their own.

Does anyone have info. on WDFW moving wolves?

"I just talked to a friend of mine who lives in Okanagan.  He informed me that WDFW made an agreement to re-release some of the wolves from Okanagan county to Southwest Washington.  It has been confirmed."

I would hope they are smart enough to engage that type of wolf activity in a more wolf rich environment say as in the tri-county region, Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille.

As it is, all the elk will die off from the rot before a handfull of wolves can get a handle on it, if they dont decide the blacktail are easier to kill and taste better than a half rotten elk.

How do the damn wolves and cats keep doing this stuff with unarmed women?  Why wont they pull this crap on a person with a gun, which i think is the vast majority of people around here?

OR they DO...and its just not spoken of due to the problem having been permanently solved...and the solvers do not want the hassles and headaches associated with the paperwork and the social BEATING  :violent1: that they would take from the Wolfaboo crowd. (has been known to include death threats.).
A Smith & Wesson Beats Four Aces.

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

What we have here is...Washington Department of NO Fish and WATCHABLE Wildlife.

WDFW is going farther and farther backwards....we need FISH AND GAME back!

:yeah: Knowing WDF$Wolf frauds, who in their right mind would report any problems?

Calling the Sheriff is an option...

Hrmmm...in case anyone was still wondering why we call the Sheriff for wildlife conflicts instead of WDFW

So jeff confirmed it as a wolf sttack, but wdfw still put this in the february wolf report:

A reported dog attack in the Stranger pack territory occurred on Feb. 3. The incident was not reported to WDFW staff until Feb. 6. Upon notification of the incident, WDFW staff responded the same day and conducted a full investigation. Based on the evidence available, it is unknown whether a wolf or another canine (coyote or domestic dog) was responsible for the injuries to the dog. Staff deployed Fox lights around the landowner’s property to deter wolves. Trail cameras were deployed for ongoing monitoring. Staff also continue to maintain fladry deployed around calving pastures within the Stranger pack territory.

 :bash:

And why would wdfw put the lights up around her property?  Im not aware of her having livestock.  They gonna put lights up around the property of everybody with a pet dog?

it's a reoccuring theme and its been going on..well since the first wolf killed the first cow.   WDFW would blame everything BUT a wolf.  No one would belive the ranchers over the WDFW staff.

There were game wardens on scene at the cattle kills and they knew, but they had to call olympia to get a determination on if they could call it a wolf kill or not.

This is why Stevens County is involved now,  WDFW was sweeping it under the rug and falsifying depredation accounts and doing everything they can to not jeopardize a wolf.
It is still happening as we see here in this thread with this woman and her dog.
