Idaho passes year around wolf hunting

One disturbing thing in the article is that among idaho residents, 55% supported this, 45% opposed.  A few more years of california refugees will likely swing public sentiment the wrong way.  Theyre close to the tipping point.

This is true, but of that 45% I'll bet most of them are from a few isolated areas.  Hopefully that'll help keep their political pressure from growing too much.  Also, the wolf huggers are more likely to send in comments than the wolf hunters.

and IDFG discarded every comment outta state which left I think around 5,000 comments

Join F4WM this month, can wait to go Wolf hunting, planning on trying in units 1, and 10a first. (I live in Spokane).

If anyone wants to go I'll be happy to share the woods with you. Right now I'm going to do a couple of three day hunts (more scouting) but as my wife's says if your going might as well be ready to shoot...

Very common little pests, wolfbait's deal was real.  More kinds than you can shake a stick at.  The problem is a nasty one that did not stay home.

This was a great move. Thank you ID. My wife and I will continue to carry a tag at all times. Maybe one day we will get lucky.

A buddy and his partner called in an entire pack from over a mile away on video last year in September, and he killed one at 30 yards. I will do my best to replicate this experience in a few weeks (except they are dead inside of 800 if they stop). 😂

  for right now, my go to wolf gun will be my .243.  But as soon as my .223 suppressor gets out of jail, ill likely be using that for wolf / cougar hunts when bear is not open.  20" barrel ar with a can and 73 grain bullets i think should work well in the event i get lucky and call a pack in.
