Finally picked up another puppy
« on: March 21, 2020, 08:00:16 PM »
Its been about 2 years since we put down our female black lab and our chocolate just turned 12, so it was time for a new pup. Our kids are almost 5 and 7, so we figured it was time to add some puppy chores to them. We looked for about the last year and finally found the characteristics in one of East Harbor Gundogs breedings for a great family dog and hunting companion. Long story short, we took the kids on a nice drive today to meet John at East Harbor Gundogs and surprised them with a new black female puppy. To say the kids were ecstatic is an understatement and I can already tell see is going to be a great addition to our family. I'm hoping she keeps her natural pointing ability, but also becomes a great water dog as well after spending some time at Longhollow Retrievers this summer.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.

Nice looking puppy
