I haven't used that specific tarp, but they look well designed and look like they would do the trick. I'd give them a try! I think most other brands of tarps seem a bit overpriced for what they are. Depending on the size you want, they look to be about a 1/3rd of some of those offered by the high-tech outfits.
I have an old Sil-Tarp from Integral Designs (now defunct), and it's been my only shelter besides a bivy sack on some trips, and it's a nice addition to have an awning for rain or sun on other pack trips.
I tied some large loops of elastic cord on all the tie-outs to give it a little more stretch and it's nice to hook on to branches in a quick pitch situation.
