I received it and took it as well.  Lots of questions about information and trust and I think we can all guess how I ranked the department.  I don't like how it forced you to input something for race and income, most surveys allow you to opt out of that.  So, I put "American" in for my race.

It's hard to tell what they are looking to get out of it, my guess would be insight on the best ways to get information on their research out and the societal importance of finding a solution to hoof rot.  Guessing further, it sounds like they may be questioning whether giving the research results to WDFW and hoping they do the right and effective thing may not be working too well, but that's a big guess on my part.

That survey was definitely designed to produce a predetermined result. Lots of loaded questions to keep the anti's and the WDFW management happy.

I got the feeling there were loaded questions, I didn't answer all the personal questions, it let me continue anyway.

This is an unfortunate response by all, but not surprising. The department COULD be trying to make an honest effort by using a 3rd party to gather information. Unfortunately the distrust runs so deep there is no possibility for them to gain scientific data/insight to guide them. My only concern is that a good Director and a reasonable Commission might not be able to make any head way because past department directors have squandered ANY  goodwill sportsmen may have had.

Actually there are many questions about trust. The WDFW and WSU obviously understand there are trust issues or there would not have been so many questions about trust! I was completely honest in the way I answered all the questions, but I thought carefully about them first. I was glad to see they are working on the problem, they get good grades for that, but i don't trust them at all and I was honest about that in the way I answered the questions. They need to know they are not trusted so they hopefully try to improve on that!

I thought the survey was great till I got to the last questions wanting my personal info and such,where I told them I make a million dollars a year ,and was born in 2020 ,and gave them the middle finger.

Thank God these clowns are not handling the C-virus or we will all be dead. This has been funded for years and nothing has been successful in stopping the spread of the disease. Another "study" designed to remove the blame from the bumbling WDFW as our elk herds are being destroyed?

Actually, I saw it as several potential studies, elk being one.
When there is a questionnaire sent to the public, there are questions added for different purposes. I could imagine a PhD dissertation in cultural anthropology as well as other fields. The data will be mined by students for years to come.
