I have shot thousands of blue bullets, never had an issue. How many grains of what powder are you running? What grain bullet?

Ok my manual states that 2.8 gr is max for that powder and bullet, so yes it probably is running a wee hot.

Hodgons data is for a jacketed bullet, were the Lyman data is for cast bullets. Still trying to post the data, didn't work from the phone or the PC, must be something hay wire with hunt was.

The blue bullet, is not a jacketed bullet. It would be more accurate, to describe it as a coated cast bullet.  Try the Lyman data.

The blue bullet, is not a jacketed bullet. It would be more accurate, to describe it as a coated cast bullet.  Try the Lyman data.

This. Do not interchange jacketed bullet data and cast bullet data.

Also - TiteGroup is a very sensitive powder to over-charges, and also is not a very good choice for coated bullets because it burns pretty hot. On top of that, it can be difficult to detect over-charges and even double charges with that powder.

A different powder would help you a lot. Make your choice based on the load data and what you want to do with the bullet, but something like Universal would be a much better choice.

My sources for reference - I have been casting my own bullets for 20+ years, and was one of the first to pioneer coated bullets. I also load and shoot 1,000 rounds of 9mm every month, almost all of them cast & coated bullets. I've learned a few things in doing this stuff, and TiteGroup is a powder I suggest you avoid for this use.

:yeah:

Treat them like cast cause they are.  Cowboy loads work great with coated bullets
