My first bow was a martin lynx. It had a silver riser that I painted matte black to match the limbs, had some easton xx75 and hand me down thunderheads. I shot it good as I had it long before I actually began bowhunting. I hunted with it for the couple days I was able to get out in September my first year chasing elk.
But I consider My first HUNTING rig, a a Darton t2000, 60-70 pound draw with 3 inch overdraw, shooting xx75, 4 inch 4 fletch yellow with 4 blade muzzy 90 grain heads. A wire sight, and satori 2 piece quiver. I loved that bow. Did everything wrong, didn't shoot it against a dozen other bows, didn't tune it for months before the season, picked it up a week before late archery season and bought It used. I did one thing right, bought quality even though I arguably couldn't afford it and shot it every evening after getting home from school. Opening day I got my first archery deer a nice doe, and two weeks later killed my first elk a nice bull.
