It's always mid-April, and I don't see a problem with that. They need to have some information on animal populations after winter is over before establishing special permit numbers. I'm actually surprised they can get it done as early as they do. Plenty of things to criticize them for, but this isn't one of them, IMO.
:yeah: another one I get a kick out of is people complaining about how long it takes them to do draws. They are top 3 fastest states on draws in the western United states  :chuckle:
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Oregon does sometimes adjust the originally published tag numbers before the drawings are held.  Still think it would be nice to have the regs out earlier for planning ect.

I agree that it doesn't make the top of the priority list for all the issues WDFW has to deal with.

Can anyone tell me the agreed upon archery elk dates for the west side? I’m guessing September 5-16th (which blows of course).

Oregon's has been out for weeks ... don't know why Washington can't do the same?
When does Oregon publish draw results?
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

ehh I bought all mine yesterday.. worst case if the season does end up being closed and we are not able to go out and hunt, you may request a refund from the Olympia office at that time.

The department will not refund any recreational license or permit purchase for which a season or hunt has been scheduled, and the licensee could have participated in the season or hunt, regardless of whether the licensee did in fact participate.

I’m just waiting for the reg’s to come out. I always buy my license and applications and submit permits all at the same time. I’m in as usual.

Weeks?

Oregon publishes their regs in December.

This just seems to me like another reason to piss and moan about the WDFW. What’s the significance of not having the reg’s right now? We’ve all done this before. We have a pretty good idea of when the seasons are. In fact I think we know 3 years in advance when the seasons are.
Maybe I’m missing something. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Final permit numbers? Gives people something to read and digest, more material to keep the mind occupied maybe. I’m sure there’s an approved proposal up on WDFWs website with approved numbers, but that is a lot easier way to dissect that info.

It’s certainly not something else to take shots at WDFW for, but I would love to kill a night digging into it a bit instead of Netflix or something and hope they get posted soon.
