Odd? and Easy Comfort food
« on: March 16, 2020, 10:38:06 AM »
So there's probably some odd food combos that are normal to certain families, yet strange to others.
My Mom used to scramble eggs into leftover pasta, still 1 of my favorite comfort foods today. The wife thinks its crazy weird and wont even try it.
I'm sure others have to have some odd combos too....lets here them.

I crack an egg or two in my top ramen every once in a while and love it.  It thickens up the broth and adds protein to an otherwise useless bowl of salt and carbs.

I like to add egg, chicken and corn. The kids called it Ramchickcornegg.
When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

My step dad used to mix a pack of hotdogs, box of Kraft macaroni and cheese, and a can of pork and beans. Pretty good but my wife won't make it for us.

We're playing my jam here! I like canned chilie over Fritos, or over a canned tamale... and Fritos. Cool ranch Doritos in egg salad. Fried potatoes with onion and hotdogs all fried together

My favorite way for Ramen is to boil the water out. Well all the excess water.

Add enough water in the pan to cover/submerge the noodles (usually 1 cup instead of 2 cup)
Let it rip to a boil, stir, continue to boil until water evaporates from bottom
remove from heat and add seasoning and stir

Call it sticky-ramen because you get a blob

Love sunny side up eggs in spaghetti sauce, especially duck eggs. I don't include spaghetti noodles though.
