Yellow Perch from shore?
« on: March 18, 2020, 12:20:32 PM »
Are there any lakes in Southern King or Northern Pierce County that you can fish for perch from shore or dock/pier?

Would like to get the Grandkids out.

TIA

A little farther away but there are perch caught at the boat ramp on Lake St. Claire east of Lacey. Lots of fish in that lake when I used to fish it. A small boat is great though. ;-)

I've caught yellow perch from a dock near the north end of lake Tanwax near Kapowsin.  I suspect they are in Kapowsin too.

Not sure about this time of year, but Meridian used to put out some decent perch.
Coulon Park at lk. Washington is probably your best bet.

 :yeah:

Just about any public access/beach/dock on Lk Wa. Will give you a chance at perch from May through Sept. There is milfoil everywhere along shore. Mornings/evenings are best.

You mean yellow perch like these? :)  When I saw this thread title I remembered a few pics I took of yellow perch from shore.  Not in WA.

Once you find a school of Yellow Perch......Stay with them.

(Needs to warm up a bit more to get them, fishing from shore).

That is an awful video!  It is a perfect example of selfishness and disregarding the governor's order about gatherings and social distancing.  I'll bet there is not one in that group that has survived to age 50.  An illegal gathering like that deserves a stick of dynamite.
