They're generic.  A front wheel is a front wheel, just match the wheel size.

I meant getting power to the front wheel.  I have the RadRover but never thought of trying to get power to the front wheel as well.

Do any of them regenerate power/charge to batt when pedaling or downhill???

Not that I know of, but I would bet it's coming.

To put multiple motors on your bike, it will require a special controller to handle the power distribution to the multiple motors.  What this does is put X% power to the front and Y% power to the mid or rear motor when you twist the throttle or push the leaver to activate the power.

You just need a separate controller for each motor.  There are devices to synch them up like you describe (such as Cycle Analyst), but it isn’t required. 

From there you can drive them both from the same throttle, or have a separate throttle for each.

I suppose.  Personally, I think one controller would be best.  If you have two controlers and one is at 50% and the other is 10% your pushing the 10%.  It is up to you.  Personally, one controller for both motors is the best method.

I bought a quiet cat which with the cart and a few extras was 3500. I used it going bear hunting in the spring and packed a bear out on the cart. It works awesome and they are really quiet unless you have the trailer on. I got mine st Marie’s saw and cycle shop. Owner lives in Calder Idaho and says that’s what he uses 99 percent of the time up there. He has all the toys at his disposal so that sold me on it. country around Calder can be really steep. Pro tip don’t ride it like a dirt bike 😂 I jumped on it and just hit the throttle once I started going up the mountain you will lose battery fast compared to doing just a little bit of pedaling. I think he said the trailer was good to 350 pounds don’t recommend testing that limit either ha ha. I did and broke the post that holds the cart. Cheap lesson but it’s a real pain in the but getting any replacement parts from quiet cat I will say there customer service not impressive. I just go back to original shop for stuff now.

Sorry for bringing an old topic back to life, but I am researching ebikes and wondering if I should just attempt to build my own versus buying an expensive brand name bike.  Can someone explain the advantage of a mid drive bike versus rear?  Also, I see 8000w 72v hub kits for sale on Amazon.  Besides weight what would be the downside to going with the biggest battery and highest watt drive that you can find?

The legal limit to be a bicycle is 750Watts.  8kw (10+ hp) is legally a motorcycle.  Legalities aside, putting 8kw on a bicycle, with bicycle tires, brakes, suspension and frame is going to be a death trap.  If you go that route, you should start with a motorcycle, not a bicycle.
