Like many of you, I'm bored and looking for a mini project and since I've been wanting to upgrade/replace the trigger in my Gen4 G17 I figured no better time than the present, BUT, I'm far from a Glock expert and there are a variety of different trigger kits available so who's have you all used and or which one/s do you think are better than another???Based on the little research I've done, at this point, I'm probably leaning toward the kit from Apex, but if there is a better one, I'm open to anything.
Yes they eliminate virtually all of that . My Zev is alot crisper and shorter , it also resets faster then the stock one .
I just installed an Overwatch trigger in my not a Glock 17. Took to the range on Saturday and I like it a lot. It has a nice short crisp trigger pull now. I also added a Lantec 3.5lb connector and a Lantec polished safety plunger. My trigger weight now is also about 4lbs.

Not so much because the kit itself costs much, but it could change my mind about how I feel toward Glocks in general and I'll end up buying a few.
Guess I have a small project to do now.

One of the things I dislike the most about Glocks, is the trigger pull, so I'm thinking it's going to be worth every penny. Apex offers a couple different kits, the one I got has more pieces than their basic kit and I thought it was still pretty reasonably priced.
I'm a pretty casual pistol shooter.Might have to try just replacing the connector.

Then I'll drop in the Apex kit and measure. I'm kinda curious to see how all three compare.
@B23 Did you get it installed? Was it worth it?

I never liked Glocks , brother bought a couple , I shot them , still didnt like them . Only reason I have my 19 is because I wanted to build a Gucci Glock . Found a Gen 4 for cheap and am using that frame for the build .

Found a Gen 4 for cheap and am using that frame for the build .Nope, it certainly won't! Still hate friggen Glock triggers.Spent all day cleaning my gun room, yeah it was that bad, and installed the new parts. Lowered the trigger pull about 1 1/4 lbs so instead of being 6 lbs it's now right around 4 3/4 lbs. I even polished the he11 out of the entire trigger bar, plunger, connector, and the back end of the firing pin to the point they all look chromed. Everything except the firing pin was a new part from Apex but I polished them to a chrome finish anyway. I never really had a big issue with how heavy the trigger was but I was hoping to eliminate A LOT of that longggggg azz pull. It definitely helped shorten the length a pull a little, but nothing like I was hoping for.So you were right, it's HIGHLY doubtful I'll be acquiring any new Glocks.
Pew Pew Tactical has a good write-up about polishing, and good available Glock triggers.https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-glock-triggers/

At least you know . Look on the bright side , You won't be buying anymore Glocks so think of the money you will save
Alchase's link above mentioned possibility of light primer strikes with Zev spring kit, unless using their aftermarket lightened striker. YMMV.
The one thing I do really like about Glocks is how super simple they are to work on so if it's a problem, swapping back to the factory spring is easy peasy.
