It’s not the people looking for a grey area to go fish that’s the problem, it’s the millions still working and hitting the stores and gas stations that will continue the spread. I think for the most part people are just complaining about the closure, they aren’t actually going fishing.

My question is then, not to you specifically but in general, why is the anger towards the fishing closure and not all the other stuff still open?
Every time I have brought that up I've been hit with a barrage of excuses for why our entire 7.5 million population should be able to continue to purchase non-essentials (or essential by choice) virtually at will, regardless of how many face-to-face contacts the retail sales and associated supply-chains generate. The general attitude seems highly myopic because Inslee claims it's essential.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

Hell, most of the places I’d be fishing this time of year got shut down by emergency rule this year anyhow, under far more suspicious circumstances than a public health crisis.

Took a drive out to the skookumchuck last week and there were at least half a dozen rigs parked along the river by the hatchery, even saw a guy decked out in his gear walking down to the water, rod in hand. Probably ignorance of the rules more than anything at that point though.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Nope....    :chuckle:

20" female full of eggs. Last fish after seven shorty lings. A half hour of fishing didn't get me any Greenling for dinner.

Now that unemployment will be shored up, those should be shut down too.  All grocery should be curbside, stuff like florists and coffee shops should be closed.

The goal should be for everyone to see how close to 0 interactions we can have in the next 15 days.

Catching dinner while hanging out alone (or with a household family member) on the ice or in a canoe would have much less impact on the spread than these people driving to the store to buy dinner alongside a crowd of other strangers.

This blanket closure could have been more thought out and targeted.   :twocents:
