What's Your Go-To Sidearm While Hunting?

I'm in the market for a good hunting sidearm and I don't see a recent thread discussing favorite sidearm choices. What's your go-to?

I'm currently between the Glock 23, Walther PPQ in .40, H&K VP40, and Sig P320 in .40. Opinions on which one of these would be the best are welcome.

For bears, my go-to is spray.

For two-leggers, Ruger .357.

Small frame 38+p revolver for me for around here, also have a s&w 329pd 44 for the trips to grizzly country. The little 38 saved my bacon once!

My Walther PPS 9mm......I'm not worried about 4 legs as much as 2 often times. Super lightweight and I barely know it's there. But if you're worried about critters I would suggest a 10mm. BTW the Walther PPQ has an incredible trigger, I couldn't believe the groups I was getting with it.

For the last bunch of years it has been a S&W Mountain Gun in .45 Colt.  I just bought a Ruger Backpacker Kodiak in .44 mag, but it is a beast to carry.  I'm looking into a Ruger GP100 in 10mm.

Same here, it's probably overkill when I'm hunting in southern WA but I also hunt in the NE corner and up by Mt Baker, so there is always the possibility of grizzly.

Walther P99-AS in 40.

Ruger Single Seven in .327 Federal. Small, light, simple. I like large semi autos for other purposes but high capacity and fast reloads aren't really a priority for me in a woods gun.
