We live 1.5 blocks from the Centennial Trail in a section that isn't very used.  I had to stop going for rucks there, I couldn't keep away from people.  On a normal day, I would never run across a soul except the summer months.  I used to ruck daily and could go a month or two without seeing a person.

There are other places to exercise, I agree it's important, particularly for a longer period of time that this will end up lasting.  I can still get out by myself and worst case I can do burpees in my basement.

I do wish they would focus on the goal, not a list of random stuff that is allowed and not allowed that may or may not help.  If you listen to the gov't, grocery stores are safe, walking your dog is safe, exercise is safe.  If you are running into people, it isn't safe no matter what you are doing.

Can I go fishing at Big Flat(Dalton lk ) tomorrow in Franklin County? Quarry pond in Walla Walla county?

Can I go to any of the habitat management units along the lower Snake River to walk my dog and bird watch?

Soda or the Goose lakes up at Potholes?

Can I launch at Hood park on the Snake? Two Rivers Park? Above Ice Harbor or Lower Monumental?

Scootney reservoir?

 >:(
Dalton Lake, Hood Park, Two Rivers, and Habitat Management Units are US Army Corps, they are open.
Quarry Pond is US Fish and Wildlife, it is open.
Scooteney is US Bureau of Reclamation, it is open.
Soda and Goose are on WDFW Wildlife Areas, they are closed.

Thank you for answering but your answer only goes to show the utter bull crap this is. Why oh why do we the public have to keep track of 4 different agencies? Its all public land.

DOES THE VIRUS CARE IF I'M ON CORP OF ENGINEERS LAND OR WDFW LAND?

And for those who say that I should be in my house anyways....please, give me a break. I sincerely doubt I or anyone else is being put in grave danger of death out in the open air at a boat launch. Just use common sense for gosh sake.

Leave the *censored* parks and access points open! All these wet brains are doing is concentrating more people in fewer areas! Everybody is spending more time out walking, shooting, hiking, bike riding, fishing etc than normal right now and these dip *censored*s are only pissing off the masses and congregating bigger crowds at “open” public access points. Get out of the way! Less is more sometimes. When is the last time one of you was within 6’ of someone in another party at a crowded boat launch? When does camping in the woods put you in close contact with other people besides your group? IMHO this is just some agencies that feel like they should do something, doing something  :puke:

It's all public land but each of those agencies has a different purpose. Army Corps of course is for the dams, BOR is for irrigation, USFWS is for the protection of wildlife on a national level, and we all know what WDFW is.

We can't just have one public land agency whose rules apply for all lands everywhere, if that were to happen would the same rules that apply in the former Colockum Wildlife Area apply at the former Mt. Rainier National Park? Could you hunt in the former park, could you hunt in the former wildlife area? That's why nobody wants WDFW, DNR, and Parks to merge.

We live in the 21st century, if you don't know if an area is open, google it, it takes five seconds to get the answer.

Inslee specifically states people can recreate and specifically states 'walking' and "going for bike rides" correct?! What in the heck do you think places like the Centennial Trail, Sammamish River Trail and Burk Gilman Trail are going to look like the next 14 days??!

Why keep those recreational options open but close access to launch areas where there would be arguably FAR fewer people and the people there would be much farther spaced out? That's my issue. I don't want to go walk or bike on a trail with potentially hundreds if not thousands of people whizzing by breathing heavily. It just doesn't make sense.

I am in 'walking' distance of two lakes but once I get there the access is now closed, why? I would rather go to a lake with fewer people around and CATCH food vs. a grocery store full of people and buy food and run a massively higher risk of potentially catching C19! Makes zero frigging sense to me.

Just be specific, be consistent, apply common sense, shut absolutely EVERYTHING down for two weeks and roll in the National Guard to help enforce it or what are we doing? Picking and choosing what recreational opportunities will be 'allowed' knowing full well biking, hiking and walking will congregate massive crowds is just pissing in the wind.  :twocents:
I think if you are in walking distance then you are good to go. Float tube walk in solo and it’s completely within the both the spirit of reducing exposure as well as any actual official restrictions. I think.

Governor Inslee tried to keep areas open and asked people to limit exposure. Instead people flocked to beaches like Alki, golden gardens and ocean shores, trail heads like poo poo point and rattle snake ridge, golf courses and basket ball courts. I was driving by a lake the other day and people were shoulder to shoulder fishing all along the dock. This isn’t time for recreation and vacations, it was intended to be a time of isolation and limited exposure. People didn’t heed the warning and we got a mandatory “stay at home” order instead.

Are people really that selfish that they can’t give up their “normal” for a few weeks for the better good of all? America is really in sad shape, people are dying at an alarming rate of a very contagious virus and all some are worried about is me me me.

What do think the odds are of you catching the virus at a boat launch?

I'll support not going in crowded places and do my best at social distancing....but a boat launch?

Prince Charles has it.

Rumor is, he caught it whilst launching his dingy on The River Thames.

Juniper dunes is BLM and i assume open

Grant county sherriff says Moses Lake dunes are open for riding but not camping. I cant seem to figure out what agency runs it.

Beverly dunes are CLOSED. Again, its hard to tell who runs it. Looks like a mix of DNR and WDFW???

Another thing Andy Stumpf said "It should be about WE, not about ME".   Again, "if hospitals are taking it seriously, so am I".
I really don't understand how you are struggling with this. I get more exposure checking my mail than going fishing.

Hah, No struggle at all. I made a decision.  Just a simple vulnerability risk assessment based on current physical events. Your assessment may be different than my based on what you are willing to risk. This is just a difference of opinion. I made my choice and you made yours.

What MOPP(mission oriented protective posture) level are those health care workers operating at?

Far be it for me to tell anyone what to do or how to do it, assess and please by all means make your own decision.

I have the freedom to choose to do whatever I want, I do not have to obey any laws or recommendations, I know the risks.  If it was a temporary trapping, hunting or fishing law would I blow it off?  What if “they” called it trespassing? I could just pay the fine and carry on and not sweat it, some people operate like that and don’t bat an eye. But, would I risk it? How would I explain it to my Son, to my Grandson?
There are only so many sunrises left.
