You guys looking for whatever loophole you can find to go fishing isn’t going to do anything to end the stay at home order. The whole reason for it in the first place is because people wouldn’t stay the hell home. It’s 2 weeks.

I don't think that's really the issue.

What is the intent of the ruling? I have to think it's to reduce interactions. Yet the state has picked and chosen for us which interactions will be deemed acceptable. Very little common sense is at work when you can still pack hundreds of people into a Costco (how many are "essential"?) and liquor and weed stores are open for business as usual, but a citizen can not legally access a lake in relative isolation.

The list of essential businesses Inslee sent out is 14 pages long. There is the "loophole".

Costco around me has been limiting the people in the store and telling people to stay 6 feet away. Marijuana is listed as medical and all pharmacies are staying open. Not sure where you are but all the liquor stores around me closed when they went to private sales at the grocery store.

You can still access lakes, just not using wdfw or state boat launches. Make some friends with people who live on a lake and fish all you want.

if there was steelhead in the river Id be there this weekend. Fishing isnt banned and its just wdfw manged sites. Nobody is being ticketed or arrested!  All BS when there are flights landing and stores open as thousands enter. Headed to a river or lake is about as solitary as it gets.

This is just like everything else liberals do, put a bunch of words on paper because it makes them feel good and have zero enforcement.

Marijuana is listed as medical and all pharmacies are staying open. Funny!

Not sure where you are but all the liquor stores around me closed when they went to private sales at the grocery store.
No Total Wine and More, etc?

You can still access lakes, just not using wdfw or state boat launches. Make some friends with people who live on a lake and fish all you want.
Not my point, but OK...

Look, I'm all for staying home and keeping ourselves and others safe. I'm just saying the way Inslee is implementing the closure is piece-meal and in some instances idiotic.
I realize something had to be done. But looking at this through the lens of logic, the whole plan allows for tons of non-essential contacts. The issue regarding fishing is distantly secondary.

I don't see why its such a big deal to try and stay at home for a few weeks. I totally get it that going fishing is something we want to do and is very low risk but if we can just step back and look at the big picture, I think we will get out of all of this sooner. Instead of thinking we are getting screwed over, maybe look at it in a positive light. I am sure there are things at home you have wanted to do but never have because you are too busy or its not a priority. Well, now is a great time to do those things. Go read that book you have wanted to read, try out that potential hobby that has intrigued you, start working on losing those pesky few lbs that you can't seem to lose. Whatever it is, now is a great time and it comes with the added benefit that instead of being selfish you are being selfless  :twocents:

Did any of you guys watch the speech?
Read the specifics?

Last week, government kept warning to stay home. Social distance etc or they’d have to take more actions. Well, stupid people didn’t listen. 99 cars at trailheads. People out everywhere.  So, since people couldn’t be grown, mature, responsible adults on their own,  the govt snapped it’s finger and shut us down further. People losing jobs and major financial hits for tons of people. Stay the hell home. This isn’t about you.

And to the guy who was complaining last night about why Franklin county was affected because they only had 2 cases, you now have 7. Hopefully you don’t have 15 tomorrow.

Very true. Going from 2 to 7 cases is an astonishing 350% increase

I remember the good ole days when the worst thing you could do at the boat launch was to leave a piece of millfoil dangling from the Easyloader

:yeah: My wife is a brand manager for an alchohol distributor. She is now being forced by her company to go out into the stores and stock shelves because they have been deemed an “essential” business by our fearless leader Inslee and all of their merchandisers are dropping like flies. Our health insurance for our whole family is through her job, or else I’d force her to tell them to pound sand. We have a 1 year old at home and I’m not very excited at the thought of her bringing this crap home because of her company’s greed. Yet I can’t go shoot out the Wenas now because I might spread it? I understand everybody just stay home but the exceptions/essential list is ridiculous

 This guy actually gets it!!
I would add, multiply this situation by thousands- and that is the situation created in the name of "essential". I fail to see how that not a hugely greater risk than some of the "closed" activities.
