I understand 100% what you all are saying, but  with 1,000's of buisneses still open not much is going to change imop. funny how many have said ''loophole'' when talking about people getting there separation outdoors but the real loophole going on is all the buisneses that are trying to stay open under some kind of loophole, and in doing so putting way more at risk.

Coming at you live from coronavirus almost ground zero in WA

We are considered essential part of the transportation sector. We see a lot of people every day. We normally have 40-50 appointments per day plus whatever else walks in the door. 50-60 vehicles per day.  I can tell you that almost 100% of what we do is different the last 3 weeks from what we call normal. We've decreased our hours. Sent all of our sales people home with pay. We tell people we will only check them in at their appointment time. If you're early, wait outside. This will limit how many people inside at a time. We are disinfecting everyone's vehicle the best we can before we work on it and after we work on it with the Clorox machine here: https://www.cloroxpro.com/products/clorox/total-360/

Our hardware store is open in town. They're limiting how many people in the store at a time.

Lots of "essential" businesses staying open and doing online orders only with curbside pickup.

Our feed store. 4 people at a time in the store. You can only buy what you came for. Meet a store employee at the door. Tell them what you need. They'll take you to it. You get it, you pay and you leave. No browsing.

Lots of places doing limited number of people in the store at a time.

Things are not business as usual at all.  Things are different.

That all sounds like great news to me

In regards to effective mitigation that is,  sucks we gotta do it in the first place though.

I think the proper answer is....it could be worse, and would be, without the mitigation efforts.  I'm actually heartened by the examples being shared here.

I guess I'll have to know someone with private land to see wildflowers in the gorge.

I cant blame it on wdfw, maybe the gov, but not wdfw.  Also, if things dont get better in a hurry (and they wont), then I wont be a bit surprised if turkey gets shut down as well.

I'm the other way around, I now doubt Inslee called up WDFW and told them to close access sites.  If he did that, it would only have made sense for him to close trailheads and other accesss sites, not just fishing.  He could have done that for the entire state (close all access points to public recreation) but he didn't as far as I know.

Maybe I'm wrong and someone will find where Olympia closed trailheads.

The vision I have of crowded boat launches and camp grounds by guys on forced vacation leads me to believe it came from the top and is aimed at keeping folks home.    :twocents:

If we are ordered to stay home, why would he need to specify that trail heads and private boat launches are closed? Maybe I’m missing something?

He didn’t shut down fishing specifically.

He didn't order everyone to stay at home.  Most go to work, you can go to the store, you can go get a drive through espresso, you can go for a walk, you can go for a hike, you can even go buy flowers in my town.

That's my point, my personal guess is the restrictions in hunting and fishing was a WDFW choice, not an Inslee decree.  WDFW made the choice to close access points on their own.  We can argue whether that was a good call or not, I am simply saying I believe that was a WDFW call, they basically closed everything they had control over.
