capital forest deer(new ?)

i'm going scouting up there in the coming weeks with some buddies, and was wondering if anyone had any luck with the deer down there?

I shot a trike up their this past season but it's nothing to brag about.  :dunno:  Their are deer up their like anywhere you just have to find them.

Do you have to have a special tag to shoot a trike? What is the limit?

I have had a good time up there in the past during early archery.  Before the rifle hunters pick through the bucks and they all go nocturnal.  I've gotten a few shots up there.  Nothing bigger than a small 3 pt. but I know there are some nice bucks up there.

I once had a quad run off a couple bucks I was putting a stalk on. . . Unfortunately I didn't have a tag. . .  :rolleyes:

Nope no special tag.  It's any buck up in Capital Forest.

Capitol forest sucks concentrate more on the private timber co. land next to it

There are deer all over CF but you need to get behind gates and good luck on not having a quad fly by you.

i'm gonna scout next month, and then the week before the season opens for muzzy, and modern firearm...

i talked with a guy at sportsmens, and he said that there are elk out there, can anyone confirm that?
