I have never had any issues with mine either. Maybe these people should not be looking in the Yellow Pages or searching cheapest taxidermy. I found mine by recommendation of a friend. He’s not the cheapest and he’s not the fastest. But he does a dang good job, communicates throughout the process, and is always quick to text or call me back if I have any questions.  I can’t imagine Taxidermist not calling you back. I would be at their house/shop knocking on the door demanding my stuff back as soon as we were past the first estimated date and that was not communicated.  My current full body bear mount is pushed out because he had a freezer start to go down and needed to get some of the smaller stuff done. But he communicated, asked if it would be OK, and was not a problem at all because he communicated

Seems like an excuse on your taxis part to me. Why didnt he just buy a new freezer? they sell them every day. Seems like it should have been just a 1 day delay.

I paid top dollar and went with a recommended taxidermist and still got hosed. The communication piece would make all the difference in waiting in my mind. He's missed 4 estimated dates without a word and got defensive when I went to check in.
what in the wild wild world of sports???

I have learned that if you want it done great, drop it off with the best taxidermist you can afford, pay your deposit, wait til they call you and say its done. the more you call and stop in the further behind they get and the more annoyed they will get. the best taxidermists have years worth of work sitting there they are already stressed out about enough let alone pressure from people who cant wait.

Locked. This dead horse has been beaten over and over.

No point.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
