I’ll always remember Wea300mag’s raffle deer tag hunt from 2007. The early days. It’s fair to say I didn’t even know what a raffle tag was at that point.

After showing us pics of that massive bruin, then he left us hanging on Day three to celebrate with the wife and said

"Sorry fellas I've been away from the family for almost two weeks so out having a celebratory beer with the wife. I promise to cap this story off in the morning. Trust me it has a happy ending."
 

He should have has his man card stripped right then and there!

Before the server took a dump, there was a thread that had a bunch of amazing stories about hunting and living in the Methow back in the 40s and 50s form some of our elder statesmen, Idabooner and others that lived life like most of us only dream about.
I wish we could get those stories back.

good one! I like these old ones. While I joined in 2008, I didn't really spend much time at all on here until after Aaron was killed so all this pre 2013 stuff is all new

Oh yeah I loved putting that bear story together. Was just thinking about that hunt a couple of days ago. Almost 3 years ago.

Found another killer one! I met Scott in 2016 at the NW Mountain Challenge. We randomly rode the lift up and ended up shooting some targets together. Super good dude who really loves hunting and the whole process of prep. He lives it 24/7 365. He was training hard for that hunt and when we got to the end of the course there was a big hill you had to climb back up to get to the lift. I was also training pretty hard so when we got to the base of the hill he looked over at me and said "let's run it in dude" so like a couple kids we took off sprinting up the hill  scott did his tag justice with a cranker bull and then turned right around and helped his uncle kill an even cooler bull!

A couple that I have always appreciated and read in their entirety. 

The youth turkey contest with success pics....doesn't get any better in my opinion.

Any other successful youth hunts with pictures.

Hirshey's stories....all of them. 

Aaron's raffle....though a very somber moment, it showed how can always come together as a community.

There are some amazing threads. Storybook hunts that meet their expectations are the best. Plenty that fizzle too    but they're still fun to follow.

Plat has earned a lifetime ban for the way he drags the site along.
