Nice looking tent there! I was going to wait for a Memorial Day sale or something to grab mine (not even sure if they do sales like that), but after looking around I found a brand new one, still in the factory sealed box for $150.00 cheaper than anywhere else. Just a thought if anyone else is looking.. mine should be here Wednesday and I’m gonna set it up on Saturday to check it all out.

Haha,  Maybe is said it wrong.. I got the tent for $150.00 cheaper than any other site I found. I grabbed a 10x14 flexbow deluxe for $499.00
    Still a steal though If ya ask me..

Care to share where you found that deal?  I'm in the market also.  We do some runnin and gunnin in certain situations also and seems like this would work perfect for that.  Thanks,  PM if you prefer.

Great tents! We like ours, 10x14. Hope to put it to use this spring for turkey! If it ever opens...

Just picked up my 12x9 with awning today. Just pure dumb luck. I had been looking on Craigslist and Offerup with no luck. Was accepting the fact that I'd need to buy a new one. Jumped on Rokslide just see and read a recent thread where a guy said he'd be willing to sell his. I messaged him and he was game. Turns out he lives an hour from my sister in eastern Iowa... and my folks were there visiting! Venmo'd my sister $450 and they picked it up. Tent with awning and zipper in side walls for it. $900 setup. Dad and sister said it is in great shape, almost new condition. Can't believe the one guy in the country willing to sell his lives an hour from sister on the other side of the country from me. Sometimes things are just meant to be.

I'll post pictures when I get some nice weather to set it up.

Just went and got a 10x14 today. I've got a 13x27 Alaknak that I love for groups of up to 5 but it is  to much for me and the wife by ourselves. Read a lot of testimonials raving about this tent. It came down to either the 12x12 Alaknak or flex bow . Saved 35o$ by going with the kodiak.

Interesting back in 1970/80 I had a tent similar to Kodiak made by Coleman. Stake it down good and it would hold up pretty good in the winds on the south side of the Alaska Range. I remember it bowing down pretty good, but stood it's ground. Also, on a day with visibility at knee high we stayed in the tent and cut up a potato chip box in to 52 pieces and made cards to pass the time.
There are only so many sunrises left.

I ordered one on Tuesday. Said 2 day shipping but I got an email last night stating there has been a delay and shipping date could be moved out up to 60 days

A couple of things forgot to mention in earlier post.
1.  I downsized from a 14 X 16 Canvas wall tent, which was nigh on impossible to put up by myself even with the internal frame
2. I most all the time, with my 10 X 14 deluxe KC tent, put up an over the top 25 X 25 Tarp giving me plenty of room out front for cooking/ dining and just sitting under the tarp relaxing regardless of the weather, also keeps  the elements off the tent and pack up area incase of a forced bug out.

@jingles
I like that tarp idea.  Do you just include the grommets on your back-end stakes?  How do you run it out front?  Guy lines to trees or something?

I build 2 A frames and run a ridge line and the peak of the tarp is usually about 10 feet off the ground with the sides sloped to about 6 feet high.

MY 10X10 KODIAK
A palace of space for one. EZ set up for 1 person, entrances on 2 sides of tent, windows/screens for venting, used when don't have time for the 10x12 wall tent/stove combo. Propane heater keeps it warm in the morning and evenings. Add blue tarp over top if inclement weather expected, more so for snow as snow will slide off blue tarp more easily. Never leaked in 4 years and been in a couple fierce wind storms with no problems too.
