What do you all recommend for upgraded stakes? I was thinking to make my own either with long lag bolts or the mondo nails and weld some washers on them. I am open to buying them if there is some good recommendations.

These are the ones I found years ago, that are great. I have recommended them and know of at least 8 folks that have upgraded to them with no complaints.

How many does a guy need on the tent, haven't got this one out to count loops yet.

Pretty sure it’s 10 plus a couple for the awning lines....which don’t need to be as stout IMO.

Amazon delivered my 10x10 today!  Now looking for a heat source.  Probably going to go with a Mr. Heater as I plan to stay fairly mobile with this setup.  For those of you who already own one of these tents and have used these heaters would you recommend the regular Buddy (9000 btu) or the Big Buddy (18,000 btu)?

The smaller Mr buddy works for us in our 10x10. No need for the Big buddy....

We just have the regular buddy, and it heats our 10x14 up nicely. We had it before we bought our tent. For the price difference, I would buy the big buddy. Its easy to run just one side or fire up both. For the extra cost, the piece of mind having twice the heating power would be money well spent!

I agree and that's exactly what I did. I found a like new used one advertised locally and picked it up yesterday.  Puts out a ton of heat on the high setting.  Probably won't need it, but nice to have just in case.

It sounds like it's a good idea to run an in line filter when using a bulk tank to avoid clogging up the heater with any oil that may be in the hose.  Any thoughts on that?

I don't use a filter, but it sounds worthy of investigating into it. We just hook it up and let it eat!

We have run the big buddy heater for years and never had the filter. Zero issues so far

I’ve run the small one with an 8’ hose in my 10x14 and it’s been great! If I had to purchase again, I’d go for the big buddy just for late season hunts....rest of the year, the small ones fine.

If I remember correctly, the instructions I followed when I brought mine home was to set it up in a dry location and spray it down with water real well and let dry.
